STELLANTIS &YOU, SALES AND SERVICES, APPOINT ANGELA SHEPHERD AS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE

• Angela Shepherd takes role as CEO for UK
• Angela joins with a wealth of experience, most recently as Mercedes-Benz’ Own Retail CEO

Angela Shepherd has been appointed Chief Executive of Stellantis &You UK, replacing James Weston. 

Angela joins the Group with a wealth of experience and expertise having held senior management positions with Mercedes Benz since 2003. This includes the position of Head of Aftersales for ten years, followed by further roles in Training and Network Operations.  In 2019, Angela moved to the role of CEO for Mercedes-Benz Own Retail Group.

RETAIL APPROACH

Following her degree studies in modern languages and business, Angela joined Mercedes-Benz UK’s Graduate Scheme in 1990.  Following several moves within the company across sales operations, including sales planning, and district management roles in both East Anglia and London, Angela took up her first management position in 2000 where she played a significant role in the reorganisation of the Mercedes-Benz dealer network into market areas.

This experience will prove valuable as Stellantis &You, Sales and Services, continues its multi-franchise expansion plans and focus on customer experience. Following the introduction of Fiat and Abarth brands to existing Peugeot and Citroën showrooms in Sale and Birmingham Central. Guildford has recently extended its facilities for Aftersales to include Abarth, Citroën, Fiat and Jeep. Stellantis &You Chelmsford recently opened its Citroën showroom and a new development for a state-of-the-art premises has commenced in Bristol.

Stellantis &You UK is experiencing success with this approach, with 18 of its 29 sites now multi-franchise, currently with Abarth, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Peugeot and Vauxhall Brands.

Following the Group’s rebrand to Stellantis &You, Sales and Services, a focus on people continues that is reflected in the company values, a drive to increase employee engagement and ambition to improve reputation through exceeding customer expectations. Such values have seen the recent rollout of a dedicated training programme by Martec to enable our line managers to develop talent, build future skills, confidence and success within our teams.

Angela has a real passion for working in dealer and customer-facing operations, with a keen focus on people & culture development.  She is also a strong advocate for driving all aspects of diversity & inclusion in her organisation and in 2021 was awarded Inclusive Leader in the Automotive 30% Club’s Inspiring Automotive Women awards.

James Weston will take up the Global role of Vice President – Pre-Owned Vehicles and New Business Development for Stellantis from 19^th June 2023.
