It will once again be a grid of the highest level - that of the Spanish F4 Championship which comes to the Navarra circuit for the penultimate round of the season. On the 3.933 metre track built in 2010 in the north of Spain, Nikola Tsolov (BUL - Campos Racing) will go on the hunt for the 2022 title. He has won 10 out of 15 races held, two second places and only one finish outside the points zone. There are 106 points separating the Bulgarian from his team-mate Hugh Barter (AUS - Campos Racing) who, however, managed to win two races in the last round at the Aragon circuit. This result allowed Barter to keep his title hopes alive, although it will be difficult to approach Tsolov with 144 available points at the Navarra and Barcelona rounds. Further back in the overall standings is Tymoteusz Kucherczyk (POL - MP Motorsport), who can still aim for second place and is battling with Tsolov in the rookie classification. Rising up the ranks is Italian Valerio Rinicella (ITA - MP Motorsport) - already on the third step of the podium for two races and with several top 10 finishes. Also among the most eagerly awaited, in search of their first win of the season, are Kirill Smal (KGZ - MP Motorsport), Georg Kelstrup (DNK - Campos Racing) and Suleiman Zanfari (MOR - MP Motorsport).
The penultimate round of the Spanish F4 Championship will see the Tatuus F4 T421, powered by the 180 hp Abarth T-Jet 1.4 engine, take the track on Saturday 1 October for two free practice sessions. He’ll also participate in the first qualifying session and Race 1, which will start at 6.10pm. On Sunday at 9.00 am the second qualifying session will precede the 18' plus one lap sprint race at 11.20 am and race 3 at 2.30 pm. The three races in Navarra will be broadcasted on the Iberian series' YouTube and Twitch channels.
