Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia produced an incredibly calm and collected performance on Sunday’s final leg to claim their second win from three events in 2019, the C3 WRC retaining its record of finishing on the podium at every round since the start of the season in Monte-Carlo! Citroën Racing thus extended the record it holds for the most wins at Rally Mexico to eight.

Impressively calm and collected, Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia produced another first class performance to extend their overall lead to 27.0s following two more stage wins in the C3 WRC. After increasingly getting to grips with the subtleties of the Mexican roads, Esapekka Lappi and Janne Ferm were unfortunately stopped in their tracks following an off, but the Finns will return to action tomorrow.

The 2019 season hosts its first gravel event at Rally Mexico, where the Citroën Total World Rally Team crews Sébastien Ogier – Julien Ingrassia and Esapekka Lappi – Janne Ferm will tackle the invariably hot, high altitude roads around León. The team’s crews will be very determined to score their third consecutive podium.
