Společnosti Stellantis a Toyota rozšiřují partnerství v podobě nové velké dodávky, která bude zahrnovat také elektrickou verzi

  Společnosti Stellantis a Toyota Motor Europe (TME) oznámily novou dohodu o produkci velkých dodávek pro evropský trh. Nová velká dodávka doplní řadu kompaktních a středně velkých dodávek TME a posílí objem lehkých užitkových vozidel (LCV) společnosti Stellantis v Evropě v souladu s jejími cíli Dare Forward 2030. Zákazníci TME budou těžit ze špičkové technologie Stellantis s nulovými emisemi v každém segmentu lehkých užitkových vozidel dodávaných společností Stellantis.

AMSTERDAM / BRUSEL, 30. května 2022 – Společnosti Stellantis N.V. a Toyota Motor Europe N.V. (TME) dnes oznámily rozšíření svého stávajícího partnerství o novou velkou dodávku, která bude zahrnovat také elektrickou bateriovou verzi. Nový model bude představovat třetí typ karoserie v rámci dohody s TME a doplní stávající nabídku kompaktních a středně velkých lehkých užitkových vozidel.

Stellantis dodá společnosti TME nový lehký užitkový vůz s karoserii Van, který bude v Evropě nabízen pod značkou Toyota. Nový model bude vyráběn v továrnách Stellantis v polských Gliwicích a italské Atesse. Nová velká dodávka by se měla představit v polovině roku 2024 a bude znamenat první vstup společnosti TME do segmentu velkých užitkových vozidel.

„V této rozšířené dohodě je zřejmá naše operační výjimečnost,“ řekl Carlos Tavares, CEO společnosti Stellantis. „Tímto třetím úspěšným angažmá společnost Stellantis dále prokazuje své odborné dovednosti v segmentu lehkých užitkových vozidel a ve vývoji bateriového elektrického pohonu postaveného pro potřeby celé řady. Tato dohoda posiluje naše vedoucí postavení v EU30 v segmentu lehkých užitkových vozidel a nízkoemisních vozidel, a posouvá nás o krok blíže k realizaci našeho cíle Dare Forward 2030, tedy stát se nesporným světovým lídrem v oblasti lehkých užitkových vozidel z hlediska technologií, výroby, podílu na trhu a ziskovosti.

Spolupráce společností Stellantis a TME začala v roce 2012 středně velkým užitkových vozem Toyota vyráběným v závodě Stellantis v Hordainu ve Francii, po kterém v roce 2019 následoval konkurenceschopný a atraktivní kompaktní užitkový vůz produkovaný v závodě Stellantis ve španělském Vigu. Dnešní oznámení o produkci velkých dodávek prohlubuje spolupráci, která značce Toyota umožňuje doplnit nabídku lehkých užitkových vozidel v Evropě a zároveň oběma společnostem dovoluje těžit z optimalizace nákladů na vývoj a výrobu.
