Final sprint for the Italian F4 Championship and the British F4 Championship at Monza and Brands Hatch

Over 40 single-seaters on track for the Temple of Speed in the penultimate round of the Italian F4 with Antonelli as leader followed by Camara and Dunne. At Brands Hatch the last act of the British F4. Leader Dunne, hopes to win remotely, being on track at Monza.   Among the rookies in the British series there is a fight between Ugochukwu and Guinchard.

It will be a thrilling weekend for Formula 4 in Italy and Great Britain. At the Autodromo Nazionale Monza more than 40 single-seaters, powered by an Abarth engine, will take to the track for the penultimate round of the season, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli (ITA - Prema Racing) aiming to win the Italian series.

 

His team-mate Rafael Camara (BRA - Prema Racing), driver of the Ferrari Driver Academy, and Irishman Alex Dunne (IRL - US Racing), leader of the British series In the British F4 Championship, Dunne has a 99-point lead, but the results of the Silverstone race are not yet final after Carlin's appeal, which could hand Oliver Gray (GBR – Carlin) back the Race 1 victory. Dunne will also have to keep his eyes on the Brands Hatch standings without being able to fight head-to-head with Gray who is also vying for the lead.

 

Ugo Ugochukwu (USA - Carlin), also a protagonist in the Italian series with Prema Racing, will be on track on the 1.944 metres Indy track of Brands Hatch to fight for the rookie title with Daniel Guinchard (GBR - Phinsys by Argenti).

 

The Temple of Speed the record-breaking season is also confirmed for the Italian F4 Championship. More than 40 Tatuus F4 T421, powered by the 180 hp Abarth T-Jet 1.4 engine will be on the starting grid, with drivers from 30 different nationalities.

 

Intense programmes are scheduled for both the British F4 and the Italian F4 Championship.

On Saturday, the qualifying sessions and race 1 will be at 3.10pm at Monza and 4.25pm at Brands Hatch. Two races are scheduled for Sunday on the Kent and Brianza tracks, with the British series sure to award the 2022 title and an Italian one that could do so with one race to go.
