RAM celebrates Tom Vialle and KTM MX World Champion

• KTM have won its fourteenth MX2 world championship since 2004 after Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tom Vialle finished 1st overall in the eighteenth and final round of the 2022 MXGP series at Afyonkarashisar in Turkey.
• The recently concluded season was a breathtaking experience for RAM, which shares with KTM the challenging attitude and with its partner Red Bull KTM Factory Racing the values of power, agility, grit and determination.

RAM is celebrating the success of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s centaur, Tom Vialle, who was crowned the MX2 world champion after winning his 17^th victory in 36 races, 10 out of 18 Grand Prix, and his 15^th podium of the season. It is Tom Vialle’s second world title in just four years in the MX2 class. Meanwhile, Red Bull KTM has won the MXGP and/or MX2 world championship in every year but one since 2010.

MXGP wrapped 2022 in the hot and hard-pack climes of Afyonkarashisar and the Grand Prix of Turkey. All eyes were set on the duel for the MX2 title between Tom Vialle and Jago Geerts with the Belgian holding a very narrow two-point lead at the top of the standings. Vialle, who had triumphed at both back-to-back Turkish rounds in 2021, won Saturday’s Qualification Heat to head to the start gate first on Sunday.

In the first moto the Frenchman had rode unchallenged to the checkered flag as Geerts placed 10 seconds adrift. In the second start Geerts made the better getaway but Vialle attacked and was seeing a clear track by the second circulation. The rivals battled and even tangled but it was Vialle who recovered and reached the finish line first to begin the celebrations. He is the fourth Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider in the MX2 era to have taken more than one FIM title on the KTM 250 SX-F and the second Frenchman to do so.

RAM and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have joined forces in three different competitions this season: the Motocross World Championship, the Enduro World Championship and the Hard Enduro World Championship. The American brand has put four RAM 1500s at the disposal of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team: a RAM Laramie Night Edition, a RAM 1500 Rebel and two RAM 1500 TRXs, the fastest and most powerful half-ton pick-up (one of which was allocated to Tom Vialle). Furthermore, as part of the agreement, the RAM logo was placed on the MXGP motorcycles, the paddocks, and KTM’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages. Lastly, the RAM vehicles were showcased during some events during the season and aroused the public’s curiosity and appreciation.
