The RAM brand celebrates the supremacy of Tom Vialle, the centaur of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, who yesterday was the absolute protagonist of the French Grand Prix, the penultimate race of the MX2 World Championship. On the hard and compact ground of Saint Jean d’Angely, the French driver in fact finished second in Race 1 and first in Race 2, thus shortening the distance from Jago Geerts, now only two points from the top of the standings. The Turkish GP will therefore be decisive for the assignment of the title, scheduled for 3 and 4 September, where Vialle will aim to repeat the 2020 triumph. Furthermore, KTM will have the opportunity to conquer the fourteenth crown with the KTM 250 SX-F since 2004 and the first with the new generation of the SX-F model.
The weekend started in the best way for Tom Vialle who, in Saturday's qualifying, achieved his first pole position since the Indonesian GP. The next day, in front of a delirious home crowd, the driver did not contradict himself by winning for the ninth time this season and conquering his fourteenth podium. To frame the three-way challenge in Race 1, which saw Thibault Benistant finish first in front of the KTM driver and rival Geerts in third position. In Race 2, on the other hand, Vialle crossed the finish line triumphant, scoring his 15th win out of 34 races held in 2022 and the 23rd career trophy since 2019.
Domenico Gostoli, Head of RAM & Dodge Brands Enlarged Europe, declared: «This weekend we experienced two days of adrenaline-pumping motocross, just what fans of this exciting world championship expected. Tom Vialle was truly extraordinary and showed he knew how to combine talent with determination, like a true champion. We are proud to be alongside this champion, whom we will passionately follow in the final challenge in Turkey, and we are increasingly excited about the partnership between RAM and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, two leaders in their respective sectors, who share the same passion for performance and agility, on any terrain, as well as for their innate ability to overcome any obstacle with grit and determination ».
This season RAM and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have joined forces in three different competitions: the Motocross World Championship, the Enduro World Championship and the Hard Enduro World Championship. Specifically, the American brand has made available to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teams four RAM 1500s: a RAM Laramie Night Edition, a RAM 1500 Rebel and two RAM 1500 TRX, the fastest and most powerful half-ton pick-up, one of which assigned to Tom Vialle. Furthermore, as part of the agreement, the RAM logo was featured on MXGP bikes and in the paddock, as well as on all KTM social channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Finally, the RAM vehicles were exhibited during some events of the season, arousing curiosity and appreciation from the general public.
