- Unmistakable sound and blistering performance; the heartbeat of some of the most outstanding cars in the history of motoring, which has made its mark on the brand’s history
The Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima and Levante V8 Ultima are the last chance to drive the V8 engine and become the owner of one of the 103 limited editions of the two Maserati produced to celebrate the past and mark the passage to the new era of electrification. This is how an engine that has written chapters in the history of mobility and of the Italian luxury brand becomes a gem for collectors.
The first Maserati equipped with a V8 engine was the 5000 GT Scià di Persia in 1959 – and 103 was the exact number reserved for this memorable project, which now defines the limited production of these two Ultima models – with its charming and elegant Blu Sera paintwork. Created to meet the requirements of one royal client, the Shah of Persia, it quickly became an object of desire for customers who could finally buy the car of their dreams: a 3500 with a bigger and more powerful heart, the 450S’s V8 engine, increased to 5 litres.
Maserati Levante V8 Ultima
Since 2016, “the Maserati of SUVs” has been instantly recognisable from a distance. This car has always been all about the impressive grille, an ode to the four wheeled Maserati of the past, from the superb Alfieri concept car to the competitive Tipo 60 Birdcage, and in more recent years to the expression of the design updates, with innovation in the frontal part.
Trofeo embodies maximum Maserati performance. Maserati Levante V8 Ultima takes another step and also becomes unique. The trim level suited for extreme performance enthusiasts now inspires this new special edition dedicated to the celebration of its powerful 572-hp twin-turbo V8 engine.
To complete its unquestionable elegance and capture its shameless speed, the look of the exterior is defined by the painted V8 Ultima logo on the fender, with its Rubino colour echoing the Trident shade on the glossy black centre cap, with the wheels and callipers in the same colour. The 22” Orione rims complete the special edition.
Like Levante Trofeo, the V8 Ultima edition features the carbon exterior kit as standard – front and rear bumper with carbon fibre details and sideskirts with carbon fibre inserts.
The Levante V8 Ultima interiors are distinguished by Pale Terracotta leather components enveloping the black seats, with the contrast continuing on the front headrest, where the ubiquitous Trident is embroidered together with the V8 Ultima logo.
The latter also marks the central tunnel badge, along with the prestigious “una di 103” detail.
To Levante V8 Ultima and its sporty nature, Maserati dedicates two intense bodywork shades that will make this car even more exclusive: Nero Assoluto and Blu Royale.
