Maserati at Monterey Car Week 2025: A celebration of performance and design headlined by North American debut of MCPURA super sports car

MODENA, Italy (August 20, 2025) – Maserati captivated audiences across the California Peninsula during Monterey Car Week 2025, the world’s most prestigious gathering of automotive collectors and enthusiasts. With a century-long legacy rooted in Italian racing pedigree, performance, and design, the Trident brand made a commanding statement through milestone debuts, elegant displays, competition honors, and a record-breaking auction.

The centerpiece of Maserati’s presence was the North American debut of the new MCPURA, unveiled in its Cielo convertible form at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering and later displayed on the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Concept Lawn. The brand further highlighted its current Nettuno-powered lineup with the GT2 Stradale, GranTurismo Trofeo, and Grecale Trofeo on view at the Pebble Beach Concours Village. Adding to the spirit of celebration, a classic 1956 Maserati 200SI Fantuzzi Open Sports Racer and 1956 Maserati A6G 2000 Allemano Coupé triumphed on the Concours competition field, while a rare Maserati MC12 Stradale achieved a historic $5.2 million sale at the Hagerty Broad Arrow Jet Center Auction.

The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering
On Friday, August 15, Maserati introduced MCPURA Cielo to the North American public at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, showcased within the Road & Track Lounge.

An evolution of the brand’s MC20 halo car, MCPURA refines its predecessor with an enhanced exterior design, new lightweight materials, and elevated interior finishes while retaining its heart and soul – the powerful 621-hp, 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine. Available to order now in both coupé and convertible configurations, MCPURA embodies the Maserati experience: direct driver engagement, elegance without compromise, and unrelenting performance.

Pebble Beach Concours Village
From Thursday, August 14 to Sunday, August 17, Maserati presented three of its most defining models at the Pebble Beach Concours Village for the very first time. Attendees experienced the brand’s Nettuno-powered lineup firsthand, which included: the GT2 Stradale super sports car, GranTurismo Trofeo coupé, and Grecale Trofeo SUV, representing the brand’s unique fusion of Italian performance and luxury.

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance – Concept Lawn and Competition
On Sunday, August 17, Maserati returned to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, displaying the MCPURA Cielo on the iconic Concept Lawn. Featured in the ‘Ai Aqua Rainbow’ gloss color curated by the Maserati Fuoriserie Customization Program team, paired with an Ice-colored Alcantara interior complete with a laser-etched Trident emblem, the car demanded attention from collectors and enthusiasts alike while sparkling under the California sun.

Maserati shined on the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance competition field as well:

• A 1956 Maserati 200SI Fantuzzi Open Sports Racer was a Best of Show nominee, won the Briggs Cunningham Trophy, and claimed first place in the O-2: Postwar Sports Racing category.
• A 1956 Maserati A6G 2000 Allemano Coupé earned third place in the O-3: Postwar Luxury Touring category.

Hagerty Broad Arrow Jet Center Auction
On Wednesday, August 13, during the Broad Arrow Jet Center Auction held in tandem with the Motorlux event, history was made with the record-breaking sale of a 2005 Maserati MC12 Stradale. Designed by Frank Stephenson, with bodywork by Giorgetto Giugiaro and powered by a Ferrari-derived V12 engine, the MC12 Stradale earned $5.2 million USD, making it the most valuable modern Maserati ever sold. With only 50 units produced, the model remains the fastest production Maserati to date and serves as a testament to the brand’s rich motorsports history.

With this commanding presence at Monterey Car Week 2025, Maserati reaffirmed its position as a purveyor of Italian excellence. Finally, the House of the Trident's latest addition is the Maserati GT2 Stradale, the road-legal version of the GT2 that took Maserati back to the track in closed-wheel championships. The heart of the new super sports car is the V6 Nettuno engine, reaching 640 hp (471 kW) in the latter configuration. The GT2 Stradale is therefore the most powerful road-going Maserati with an internal combustion engine.
