  • Citroën celebrates the 75th birthday of its iconic and long-lasting model: the 2 CV, which was produced in 5,114,969 units between 1949 and 1990.

 

  • The 2 CV has its roots in the “TPV” (“Toute Petite Voiture” or “very small car”) project in 1936 –it aimed at making cars versatile, economical and accessible.

 

  • It has become an icon, built on the brand's mainstays: popular, comfortable, simple, hard-wearing and affordable. Its unique body shape and versatility were the keys to a success which spanned several decades.

 

  • To celebrate this anniversary, eight portraits of noteworthy 2 CVs were produced at the Citroën Conservatoire. On 7 October, a gathering of seventy-five 2 CVs open to the public will take place at the Conservatoire at Aulnay-sous-Bois.

  • Citroën presents the limited edition C5 X Hypnos, an “all-inclusive” edition of the C5 X.

 

  • A top-of-the-range version of the grand tourer based on the Max trim level, C5 X Hypnos embodies Citroën at its best: a bold concept, distinctive styling and an invitation to travel in absolute comfort.

 

  • C5 X Hypnos comes in a new, elegant body colour, Eclipse Blue, and introduces a new, light interior ambience which, combined with warm materials and top-of-the-range equipment such as the glass sunroof and hi-fi system, creates a truly calm and serene cabin.

 

  • Available with the 225 ë-EAT8 Plug-in Hybrid engine, orders for this limited edition are already open, with deliveries scheduled for early 2024.

  • Marked with Citroën’s characteristic “ë” and signature of its electric range, this collection is rolled out on the ë-C4, ë-C4 X, the two 100% electric hatchbacks, as well as on the C5 Aircross in its Plug-in Hybrid version and the brand new Hybrid 136 version.

 

  • A distinctive design: on the outside, this edition plays on contrast and distinction by combining the elegance of pearl white with black graphic elements on the lower and upper parts, such as the two-tone black Perla Nera roof, now available on the C4 X.

 

  • A soothing and responsible interior atmosphere: the interior promotes calm and serenity by adopting a brand-new light harmony and seats covered with a new-generation Alcantara® which, in addition to providing softness and support, offers the satisfaction of being made from 68% recycled material.

 

  • The ë-Series also brings technologies to enhance on-board comfort, such as the new My Citroën Drive Plus infotainment system, based on the mid-range Plus level for the ë-C4 and ë-C4 X, and the Highway Driver Assist based on the top-of-the-range Max level for the C5 Aircross.

 

  • Orders for these versions of the ë-C4, ë-C4 X and C5 Aircross Hybrid Plug-In open shortly for delivery in the second half of 2023.

  • The Citroën range is redesigned to make it easier to understand and simpler to use. This helps to facilitate the customer’s purchasing experience and reflects new consumer trends.

 

  • It is designed to meet customers’ expectations as closely as possible by focusing on what they actually use. Thus they benefit from a better experience with the Brand through greater transparency.

 

  • As well as making the range easier to understand, this simplification process will benefit customers through a better control of budgets and shorter delivery times.

 

  • The desire to remain a popular brand is also reflected in the roll-out of a pilot programme in Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, UK and Germany. Its aim is to offer a “fair price” policy, where the unpredictable nature of promotions is eliminated in the interests of greater clarity, fairness and competitive pricing.

  • Citroën is presenting the Type Holidays teaser at the Düsseldorf Caravan Show – a nod to the famous Type H – a vehicle which takes the art of alternative travel to the extreme.

 

  • Derived from the Citroën SpaceTourer, Type Holidays offers all the comfort and clever features of the best camper vans, including a pop-up roof, a bench seat that converts into a bed, a kitchenette and a fold-down table.

 

  • The Type Holidays teaser heralds Citroën’s move to bolster its presence in the converted camper van market. It is ushering in a dedicated range to be called “Holidays” which will be sold by the Citroën network, the details of which will be unveiled at the end of 2023.

This new application allows them to approach long journeys with electric models in complete peace of mind.

 

  • e-ROUTES relies on an advanced routing algorithm, real-time analysis of vehicle data and a connected navigation system to offer a reliable and personalized planning solution providing scalable real-time management of trips and recharging.

 

  • The trip planner e-ROUTES is an intuitive smartphone application that is particularly easy to use and compatible with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Deployed from October, the app. is already included in the CONNECT PLUS Pack available for 12 months to all new buyers of ë-C4 and ë-C4 X.

 

  • By offering an optimized battery size, efficient fast charging and a smart trip planner, Citroën offers a fair combination to satisfy customers' needs while enabling them to control their budget.

  • Citroën is teaming up with the famous duo Big Flo and Oli in a musical and creative partnership. The duo will act as a brand ambassador in France and globally.  

 

  • This association was formed during an exciting encounter surrounding the concept car Citroën OLI in October 2022. Big Flo et Oli's talent and creativity will be showcased in joint projects with Citroën in the future.

 

  • Citroën will be the official partner of Big Flo et Oli's "Le Grand Tour" and becomes the official partner of the Rose Festival 2023.

Laurent Diot is appointed Director Enlarged Europe for the Citroën Brand, effective 1st July 2023. He will report to Uwe Hochgeschurtz, Stellantis Chief Operating Officer Enlarged Europe, and functionally to Thierry Koskas, Citroën Brand CEO and Stellantis Chief Sales & Marketing Officer.

  • Citroën is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the C3 Pluriel, which was unveiled in May 2003 and of which 115,097 units were produced at the Villaverde plant in Spain until 2010.

 

  • Jovial and endearing, the C3 Pluriel is a modular vehicle which came in five different versions: a saloon, a panoramic saloon, a cabriolet, a spider and a spider pick-up. Its unique modular nature catered to a wide range of desires and symbolised a lifestyle all about leisure and joie de vivre.

 

  • The C3 Pluriel was behind a number of initiatives, including the short film festival “Courts Singuliers, Courts Pluriels” on the Parvis de la Défense in June 2003 and “Mariez-vous en C3 pluriel” (Get married in a C3 pluriel) in 2004.

  • A prototype developed in collaboration with PIMAS, a company specialised in conversions for Persons with Reduced Mobility, the unique project “Ami for All” incorporates functional mechanical adaptations that allow people to access on-board, store a wheelchair and drive with ease.

  • Citroën takes a further step towards making electric mobility more accessible by introducing the new Hybrid 48V technology on C5 Aircross.

 

  • This innovative and brand-new hybrid technology combines a new-generation 136 hp (100 kW) PureTech petrol engine, a new electrified dual-clutch gearbox, ë-DCS6, with a 21 kW electric motor, and a 48V battery that recharges automatically during some driving phases.

 

  • Driving pleasure while keeping control over emissions and consumption: this new offer increases driving pleasure and on-board comfort. Acceleration is highly responsive, and you get all the benefits of the electric mode, alongside reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions – up to 15% less than an equivalent non-electrified petrol engine.

 

  • Peace of mind first and foremost: with no charging requirements, the electric experience is seamless and fluid. Driving modes and energy recovery are automatically managed, so up to 50% of city journeys can be made in 100% electric and zero emission mode.

  • This new edition is fitted with several additional exclusive accessories, such as transparent door covers to protect its occupants from the elements and a removable zipper bag positioned in the centre of the steering wheel to store small everyday objects

 

  • The sale will take place on the Citroën Ami website – https://www.citroen.fr/ami – on June 20th at 10 a.m. The record to beat: 2 minutes and 53 seconds. This is the time it took the fastest buyer to complete the entire purchase process in the first sale. The first customers will be delivered mid-September.

  • Citroën is celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Mehari, revealed on 16 May 1968 at the Deauville golf course. Between 1968 and 1987, 144,953 units were produced, mainly at the Citroën factory in Forest, Belgium.

 

  • This atypical, all-terrain and all-season vehicle seduced a whole generation with its modularity, its practicality and its economic benefits.

 

  • The Mehari became an iconic model of Citroën and more globally of the automotive world, but also in various environments such as the French army and the cinema.

 

  • The Mehari shares this distinctive and leisure-oriented attitude with the Citroën C3 Pluriel, which will soon celebrate its 20th anniversary, and more recently with My Ami Buggy, which will be soon marketed in its latest edition.

  • Citroën ë-C4 and ë-C4 X offer new electric motor and battery combination on these two models, a unique dual proposition in the C-segment.

 

  • This new version, which combines a new 115 kW (156 hp) electric motor with a new 54 kWh battery with improved energy density, offers enhanced driving pleasure and an extended range up to 420 km in WLTP cycle.

 

  • Available on the Shine trim level at launch, ë-C4 and ë-C4 X 115 kW (156 hp) offer complements the current 100 kW (136 hp) version and provides a wider choice to our customers.

  • Citroën’s is accelerating its international growth strategy with the reveal of All-New C3 Aircross, a unique pure B-SUV offering true value in 5-seat and 7-seat packages, specifically designed for Indian, South East Asian and South American customers.

 

  • Following the 2022 launch of New C3 in India and South America, All-New C3 Aircross signals the second phase of Citroën’s C-Cubed programme, announced in 2019, with its commitment to launch distinctive, intelligently conceived vehicles at the core of each market, delivering high levels of comfort, features and equipment to meet the specific needs of local customers.

 

  • All-New C3 Aircross has been developed with direct input from regional teams and local consumers and will be produced in Porto Real, Brazil and Thiruvallur, India with around 90% of local integration.

 

  • Unmistakably Citroën by design and with bold, muscular SUV cues, All-New C3 Aircross will go on sale in India and South America later in 2023 and in Indonesia, Citroën’s newest market, later in 2024.

  • Citroën presents new interpretations of its Citroën Autonomous Mobility Vision concept with three new pods at the Shanghai Motorshow starting 18 April 2023.

 

  • The Citroën Skate is a self-driving EV platform, which can be paired with a range of Pods offering passengers a unique experience when travelling around town.

 

  • Three new Pods have been developed in China, providing large range of experiences: Immersive Air, an all-new physical pod, Cozy Capsule and Wander Café which are both digital.

 

  • Cozy Capsule maximize relaxation during travel and offer the passenger more of a cocoon feeling. This pod is inspired by French perfume bottles with a crystal exterior shell. Wander Café is an open air pod that offer tasting experience while cruising through cityscapes. Perfect for sunny afternoon tea time or a happy hour gathering. Immersive Air is an entertainment pod where it’s possible to play video game, watch movies, listen to music or sing songs.

  • Citroën C3 was awarded the prestigious “2023 World Urban Car” title on 5 April at the New York International Auto Show by a panel made up of more than 100 automotive experts from 32 countries.

 

  • This prize, which rewards the appeal of a model on sale on at least two continents, recognises the relevance and international dimension of the C3, a multi-purpose hatch of less than 4 metres which is sold in India and South America since 2022.

 

  • C3 is the first model in a family of three internationally oriented vehicles, developed and produced locally. Its commercial launch is a success, supporting the Citroën brand’s growth in India, in Asia, and consolidating its presence in South America.

  • The Citroën C5 X has been awarded the prestigious "Best Large Car" prize by WWCOTY (Women's World Car Of The Year), an international jury made up exclusively of women automotive experts.

 

  • The award recognises an unrivalled on-board well-being experience, interior space, a unique silhouette concept at the crossroads of several territories and a bold design.

 

  • Launched in Europe during 2022, the C5 X was the leader in its D-mainstream sedan segment in the second half of the year. More than 45,000 cars have been delivered since its launch in Europe and China, illustrating the success of this innovative, contemporary concept.

 

  • The C5 X is fully involved in the acceleration of the Brand's electrification with a 60% Plug-in Hybrid mix. This mix will surely increase with the arrival in the coming weeks of a more accessible hybrid offering: the 180 ë-EAT8 Plug-in Hybrid.

  • Ranked 3rd among compact hatchback in Europe in 2022, all fuel and energy types combined, the C4 and ë-C4 will adopt My Citroën Drive Plus in 2023, the new on-board infotainment system first introduced on C5 X and C4 X.

 

  • Directly inspired by the world of smartphones, more modern and scalable, this new intuitive connected Interface enables easy access to all information concerning navigation, media, telephone, or vehicle settings, all that being managed on a 10" touchscreen tablet.

 

  • C4 and ë-C4 models are now available with a two-tone option with a Perla Nera black roof. A styling effect that enhances the character and dynamism of the vehicle’s silhouette.

 

  • C5 X, which has already sold more than 45,000 units worldwide in just one year and is the 2nd most popular saloon car in the European mainstream D-segment, is expanding its range with a new 180 ë-EAT8 Plug-in Hybrid offer. Boasting a driving range of 62 km in zero emission mode, this plug-in hybrid version offers great versatility and complements the 225 ë-EAT8 Plug-in Hybrid version, also equipped with Citroën Advanced Comfort® Active Suspension.

 

  • In addition, C5 X has been enriched with Highway Driver Assist 2.0, which provides even more peace of mind on long journeys with the addition to the existing package of the "anticipated speed recommendation" or "semi-automatic lane change" functions.

 

  • These changes are applicable in France from the 1st February price list onwards.
