The MXGP 2023 Championship goes on as the seventh round of the season was run this weekend. Reaching one-third of the season, the riders faced off at the Villars-sous-Écot circuit in the French GP: a compelling race that was run in the picturesque landscape of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
The absolute star of the day was the new RAM 1500 TRX Havoc Edition 2023, which captured the hearts of the present audience with the incredible sound of its 712-hp 6.2 V8. In fact, RAM organized multiple track activities with its powerful TRX, while throughout the weekend many enthusiasts had the privilege of touching and sitting inside the world's most powerful production pickup to discover what makes this vehicle so special. Those who prefer elegance to muscle, on the other hand, were able to admire and discover the RAM 1500 Limited, the American manufacturer's flagship in refinement. In addition, the RAM 1500 TRX Havoc Edition 2023 also accompanied the riders to the podium in a true triumphal parade through the crowd.
On the track, meanwhile, as bitter as it was in terms of absolute results, the French GP gives hope for the future to the members of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, of which RAM is a partner. An unfortunate stage for Jeffrey Herlings, after the prestigious successes achieved in recent weeks: in the last round in the Spanish GP at Intu Xanadú (Arroyomolinos, Madrid) he took the breathtaking victory number 102 in his career, overcoming the sport icon Stefan Everts and entering the legends of the competition. In this round, the Dutch rider finished the first run in second place but then he encountered technical problems in Race 2 and was forced to retire due to this inconvenience. In MX2, however, Andrea Adamo took second place on the day, just ahead of his teammate Liam Everts, who finished third. The next round of this 2023 season, the eighth, is scheduled for the weekend of June 3 and 4 in Latvia, on the circuit of Ķegums.
RAM’s dual sponsor role during the 2023 season
RAM is facing this 2023 season with a double leading role: the American brand, in fact, is official partner of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teams, a collaboration renewed for this season as well. RAM is providing the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teams with four RAM 1500s for traveling during the season's races: two RAM 1500 TRX models, one RAM 1500 Rebel, and one RAM Laramie. At the same time, partnership with the MXGP Championship has been renewed, which sees RAM as an official partner of the competition for 2023. The brand will maintain its presence on the racing circuits in all the championship’s stages with RAM vehicles strategically located on-site at the events, along the track and around the paddock; the brand will also be there at all the structural and media elements relating to the organization of each event. A special factor in terms of visibility was the restored MXGP and MX2 qualifiers on Saturday: the U.S. brand is their main sponsor, so much so they are known as the RAM Qualifying Races.
